Note:

Lake Region Healthcare welcomed Kory J. Nordick, PA-C, to their team of Orthopedic specialists in 2012. Kory comes to Lake Region Healthcare from Barnesville, MN where he was raised.  Prior to joining Lake Region, he worked with a fellowship-trained joint physician who specialized in hip and knee revision arthroplasty at Essentia health in Duluth, MN. The experience he brings to the team is invaluable as part of Lake Region Healthcare's Joint Care Center designed especially for joint replacement patients.

Originally from Barnesville, Kory received his Bachelor of Science in Zoology from North Dakota State University, Fargo, North Dakota. His Bachelor of Science in Physician Assistant Studies was earned through the Interservice Physician Assistant Program, a program designed to educate and train Physician Assistants for the uniformed services, at Fort Sam Houston, Texas, facilitated through the University of Nebraska. He completed his Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Nebraska Medical Center. He currently is a Major in the Minnesota Army National Guard and assigned to the Minnesota Medical Detachment.

Prior to attending PA school, Kory was full time military for 12 years.  His most recent position was as Medical Operations Officer for the 81st Civil Support Team, a unit responsible for providing support to civilian authorities in incidents involving chemical, biological and radiological agents.

His professional interests include total joint arthroplasty, providing personalized care and getting to know each and every patient individually.

"I have always wanted to work in a close knit community and in a patient focused healthcare system," Kory said about choosing to join Lake Region Healthcare. "Providing care to patients is about more than taking care of the sick and injured, it is also about making patients feel valued and respected. I feel that those values are at the center of what Lake Region is all about," he added.

Kory and his wife, Jennifer, have six children. His personal interests include hiking, fishing, watching and participating in any sport and spending time with family.
