Originally from India, Dr. Gupta received her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from the Jawaharlal institute of Post-Graduate Medical Education & Research in India.  She earned a Master of Public Health at Mahidol University, Thailand.  Her Internal Medicine internship and residency were completed at Howard University Hospital in Washington, D.C.

Dr. Gupta is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.  She is a member of the American Medical Association and the American College of Physicians.

She and her husband, Tarun, have two sons.  Her interests include yoga, travel, Indian classical dance, and Indian classical music.
