Lake Region Healthcare (LRH) welcomed Joel Anderson, Family Nurse Practitioner, to our Medical Staff in 2016 to offer primary cares at the Walk-In Clinic in Fergus Falls.
A native of Montevideo MN, Joel received his Master’s in Nursing Science/ Family Nurse Practitioner at Chamberlain College of Nursing (formerly Deaconess College) in St. Louis, MO. He has served in a variety of nursing roles with surgical specialties in Colorado, Washington D.C., Chippewa County-Montevideo Hospital, and most recently with Perham Health. He is certified by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) in Family Practice.
He is looking forward to providing high quality modern medical care to a variety of patient populations at the Walk-In Clinic and has extensive experience in wound care, crisis intervention and perioperative nursing care. “As a native of rural Minnesota, I have a vested interest in the current state and future of rural healthcare and its unique sets of needs,” Joel said. “It is my goal to treat each patient as an individual and work with them as a participant and collaborator in their care. “
Joel and his wife live in Fergus Falls with their children, 2 cats, and a crabby old Maltese dog. In his spare time he enjoys hunting, fishing, and relaxing with a good movie.
