Adam Hohman, DNP joined Lake Region Healthcare when the Barnesville Area Clinic merged with LRH in 2014.
A native of Pelican Rapids, he graduated from NDSU with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing and then returned to NDSU’s Family Nurse Practitioner Program receiving his Doctorate of Nursing Practice/Family Nurse Practitioner Degree in 2008.
Adam originally served at the Barnesville Clinic in 2008 and 2009 before leaving to work at Mayo Clinic and complete a training program in trauma and surgical intensive care there. As a member of 934 Aero Medical Evacuation Squadron based in Minneapolis, this training is part of his ongoing effort to be at his very best when serving injured soldiers.
Adam has certifications in Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Pediatric Advanced Life Support. He has completed an emergency nurse pediatric course, a course in advanced trauma nursing and advanced trauma care for nurses and has been a trauma nursing core curriculum-instructor.
Besides his management training in the US Air Force Reserve he has also served as a service delivery coordinator for the American Red Cross. He has been back at the Barnesville Area Clinic since 2011 with an intense desired to resume his primary care role as an NP in Barnesville and maintain his family ties in the Pelican Rapids area.
