Lake Region Healthcare welcomed Dr. Christopher Rott to our Orthopedics & Sports Medicine Department in 2013. He provides general orthopedic care in the clinic as well as hip and knee replacement surgery in the Joint Care Center.
A graduate of Jamestown High School in Jamestown, ND, Dr. Rott went on to obtain his Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology at Northwestern College in Orange City, IA and his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine A.T. Still University of Health Sciences in Kirksville, MO.
Most recently Dr. Rott completed his Orthopedic Surgery Residency at Metro Health Hospital in Grand Rapids, MI. He also has an interest in international medical missions and has worked overseas in Ecuador, Nigeria, Honduras and Ghana, West Africa and in the Dominican working with CURE International.
Dr. Rott spent childhood summers visiting his family's cabin on Otter Tail Lake. He loves water sports including scuba diving, swimming, knee boarding, and both water and snow skiing. He also enjoys gardening and road biking. He and his wife Penny have three boys: Logan, Isaac and Eli.
