Casual position available with the Emergency Department. Day and Night shifts.
The purpose of this position is to provide nursing care to patients. The framework for practice will be the nursing process in order to prescribe, delegate and coordinate nursing care. The RN has contact with patients, patient families and visitors, LRH employees, referral agencies, volunteers, administration, and physicians. Effective interpersonal and communication skills are essential for this position. The RN must be able to supervise patient care, secure cooperation from others, problem-solve, and exercise initiative and judgment.
In order to qualify for this position, the incumbent must be a graduate of a school of nursing with current licensure in Minnesota. He/she must have also completed Basic Cardiology class and have one year of medical/surgical experience. Emergency department experience is preferred. ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certification preferred or willingness to obtain within first year of employment. Incumbent must have Healthcare Provider level CPR certification upon hire or must obtain within six months of employment.
