(MINNEAPOLIS) – Patricia Lindholm, MD, a family medicine physician at Lake Region Healthcare in Fergus Falls, received the Minnesota Medical Association’s Distinguished Service Award at the group’s 2016 Annual Conference, held Sept. 23 and 24 in St. Louis Park.
This award is given to a physician who has made outstanding contributions to medicine, the MMA and the physicians of Minnesota during his or her career.
Lindholm served as the MMA’s president in 2010-2011. Currently, she is president of the MMA Foundation Board of Directors and is serving a four-year term on the Board of Medical Practice.
In her 25 years with the MMA, she has served on the MMA Board of Trustees, has testified at the Capitol and represented the MMA on the MN Community Measurement Board. She has also served on the MMA Professionalism Advisory Team that met in 2013 and 2014 to work on fostering an improved culture of professionalism among Minnesota physicians by promoting collegiality and networking opportunities.
