Lady Otter Basketball Team Will “Shoot for a Cure” February 9th Against Willmar

Fans encouraged to wear pink to promote Cancer prevention & awareness

[Fergus  Falls, MN] ~ The Fergus Falls Otters Girls Basketball teams will “Shoot for a Cure” when they host Willmar for their Cancer Awareness night on Thursday, February 9th at the Kennedy Secondary School gymnasium at 7:30pm.

Several fundraising and awareness events are planned for the night including a 50/50 pot with half the proceeds going to the lucky winner and the other half going to the Lake Region Healthcare Cancer Care & Research Center. There will also be opportunities to sponsor a player or team by donating money for each point scored that night to the Cancer Center.

Fans are encouraged to wear pink to the game as a show of support for the local fight against cancer.

All proceeds from this event will go directly to the Lake Region Healthcare Cancer Care and Research Center in Fergus Falls and will be designated to the Survivorship Fund to help ease financial burdens for patients in active treatment at the cancer center.
