10% Prompt-Pay Discount among new options
[Fergus Falls, MN] ~ Lake Region Healthcare (LRH) announced several new options for payment on healthcare bills at the facility. A prompt-pay discount and a new auto-debit service are among the features the organization started offering this month to expand options for patients.
“We know paying health care bills is often difficult for people. Our business office staff works hard to help each individual patient develop payment plans that work for their situation, and we used this feedback to develop these new options,” said LRH CFO Brett Longtin. Among the options is a new Prompt Pay Discount. “We will now offer a 10% discount to patients who pay within 30 days of receiving their first statement,” he said. Patients need to call the LRH Business Office at 218.736.8000 to take advantage of this option so that financial services staff can help calculate the discount appropriately.
Other new options rolled out this month include a new Auto-Debit option and an extension of terms for payment plans arranged with LRH from 3 months to 6 months. Interest-free payment plans also continue to be offered through the organization’s partnership with ClearBalance.
