November “Living Well” Education Series to address cardiac & sleep health issues

Dr. JoEllen Kohlman, Cardiologist and Stephanie Privratsky, Sleep Consultant will keynote

(FERGUS FALLS, Minn.) –Dr. JoEllen Kohlman, Cardiologist and Stephanie Privratsky, Sleep Consultant at Sleep Wellness Center will be the featured speakers at Lake Region Healthcare’s (LRH) Living Well Education Series November session scheduled for Monday, November 21st at 5:30.

JoEllen Kohlman MD, will speak on healthy lifestyles for special population and health promotion practices and will be joined by patient, Sid Fossan, who will share his personal story of becoming motivated and dedicated to living healthy after having angina (chest pain). Privratsky will address the importance of sleep to good health and how CPAP and other solutions can help. Rick Dean, a community member will also share how a sleep study and a CPAP helped him diagnose and treat sleep apnea.

“We strive to offer both clinical and real life examples of how to apply healthy living principles. These four speakers will certainly bring a wealth of information from both perspectives,” said Director of Wellness at LRH, Natalie Knutson.

The Living Well educational forums are held the third Monday of each month at 5:30pm from September through May. Knutson says the education series is designed to offer a broad range of information on health related topics to address all seven components of Wellness.

The November session will be held on Monday, November 21st from 5:30 to 7pm in the new Main Clinic Lobby at 111 West Vernon Ave. in Fergus Falls and is made possible in part by sponsorship from Winmar Diagnostics Sleep Wellness Center.
