Lake Region Healthcare Auxiliary announces new name as Friends of Lake Region Healthcare
(FERGUS FALLS, Minn.) – The Lake Region Healthcare Auxiliary is pleased to announce the Auxiliary and Volunteers are coming together to form an organization called “Friends of Lake Region Healthcare.”
While their mission will remain the same, the change is designed to be more welcoming to everyone interested in the opportunities to join either of these groups. Dues have also been discontinued and membership is now free and open to any and all who wish to join in supporting the healthcare needs of our community through this organization.
The Friends of Lake Region Healthcare serve several functions:
- to provide local scholarships for students taking college coursework in the medical field
- to support Lake Region Healthcare departments in their mission to improve the patient experience through volunteering, fundraisers and the hospital gift shop
- to offer members the opportunity to attend luncheons for the purpose of social gathering, community presentations and conducting board meetings
