ManageMyHealth available 24/7 to access info, review results & request appointments
(FERGUS FALLS, Minn.) Lake Region Healthcare is now offering an online method for patients to manage their personal health information. “Manage My Health” is a patient portal that allows secure, online access to key components of a patient’s personal health information.
“We believe this easy access to their personal health information is good for our patients,” said LRH CEO Larry Schulz. “It’s extremely important that patient information is both secure and readily accessible. This solution offers both of those features,” he said.
The features available will continue to expand over time. Current functionality of the portal includes:
- Access to online medical records including medications and allergies, vitals, and problems and procedures
- Summaries of clinic visits including care and discharge plans
- Lab results
- The option to request an appointment
The most effective way to sign up is at a clinic or hospital visit. “We can easily verify your identity and collect the information needed to connect you with the system while you are here,” Schulz said. Patients also have the option to print a sign up form and bring it to LRH to initiate the sign up process outside of a regular visit. It can be accessed by clicking on “ManageMyHealth” at www.lrhc.org or the form can be requested at any registration desk of an LRH facility.
“While the portal offers great conveniences for patients, it’s important to remember that it should not be used for urgent medical matters and patients should always dial 911 for medical emergencies,” he added. Anything that requires immediate attention should be directed to your provider over the phone.
