3 Locals to Share Personal Wellness Stories at February “Living Well” Education Series

(FERGUS FALLS, Minn.) – Three local residents will share their personal journey toward better health and wellness at the February Living Well Education series hosted by Lake Region Healthcare (LRH). Cy Grover, Britt Piekarski and Collin Kremeier will be the featured speakers sharing their stories, with additional perspective provided by their personal trainers at Lake Region Healthcare, Karoline Gustafson and Natalie Knutson.

“Cy, Collin and Britt each have a unique Wellness Story and we are so grateful they are so generously opening up to share their stories with the public at this month's session,” said Wellness Coordinator at LRH, Natalie Knutson. “They plan to share how and why they got started on a journey to better health, the ups/downs they've experienced, and the barriers to their success,” she said.  “All three of them have been impacted mentally, physically, financially, and spiritually and each story is a true inspiration that will remind us all that we are not alone in the challenges we face when it comes to balancing all aspects of wellness and achieving our optimal health.”

About the February Speakers:

Cyrillia Grover, Cy for short, is a retired employee of Ottertail Power Company. She has lived in Fergus Falls for 26 years. She is a past member of TOPS, member of Federated Church and her newest delight is being a grandma of her one month old granddaughter. She has a variety of things that keep her going from day to day, from sewing and reading to walking and playing with her dogs at the park. She began her wellness journey about three years ago and has overcome many obstacles to get where she is today.

Collin Kremeier is originally from Fergus Falls but moved away during elementary school. He graduated from NDSU in 2006 with a degree in Mass Communication. and recently moved back to Fergus Falls. He is married with two boys ages 3 and 6. Collin started his Wellness Journey about 8 months ago, by taking the plunge into a CrossFit class. Well on his way, but still so many goals to reach, Collin keeps plugging away on his healthy journey. He has experienced many highs and lows, and will truly inspire you to take the next step to better health.

Britt Piekarski grew up Fergus Falls, attended NDSU for her undergrad in Biological Sciences Education 7-12 and her masters in School Counseling.  She work for Lakeland Mental Health in three different schools helping students of all ages.  Britt was diagnosed with anorexia in May of 2008 and did 2 different stints in partial treatment and in-patient treatment during a 2 year period.  She'll share her personal story of lessons she learned about herself and her mental health.
