Description: 

80 hours per two-week pay period with the Materials Management department.  Day shift.

To ensure effective and efficient operation of the Materials Management Department (MM) including all Purchasing functions, Supply Distribution, and Clinic Services. Under the direction of the Sr. VP CFO, this position shall plan, develop, coordinate, and manage Materials Management functions in accordance with policies, procedures, goals, and overall direction of Lake Region Healthcare. The Director will oversee all functions of this department including: Capital Equipment Purchases  and negotiation, General Stores, Purchasing, ordering, receiving, shipping, printing, forms control, and inventory control. Responsibilities include: developing and maintaining all internal and external ordering procedures for stock and non-stock items for all departments; maintain the MM Paragon McKesson Computer system including it’s functions and integrity; some coordination of building and remodeling projects, responsibility for the Value Analysis Committee functions.

A Bachelors degree in Business area is preferred. Two years of college in Business Management and/or 3-4 years experience in Purchasing/Materials Management may be substituted for a four year degree. Knowledge of accounting, basic computer skills, and telecommunication skills needed. Must be strong in management and motivational skills. Must understand the procurement process: ordering, receiving, inventory control, and credit returns.
