64 hours per two-week pay period with the Food Service department. Day and PM shifts.
The purpose of this position is to follow patient menus accurately on trayline, proper cleaning and sanitation of soiled dishes, pots and pans, and work area. Prepare nourishments and floor supplies and deliver to designated areas. This position reports to the Food Service Coordinator. The Food Service Assistant position has contact with hospital employees, visitors, and patients. Effective interpersonal and communication skills are a priority in this position. The incumbent has limited access to confidential information and must be able to maintain confidences. The incumbent completes the work procedures and priorities within imposed time frame.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. ServSafe certification or MN Department of Health Food Manager’s certificate preferred or willingness to successfully complete ServSafe certification course. Six (6) months related experience preferred. Ability to follow oral and written instructions accurately. Ability to interact with patients, physicians, employees, and guests.
