40 hours per two-week pay period with the Radiology department. Thursday and Friday 7:00 am - 5:30 p.m.
The purpose of this position is to perform all ultrasound related duties to allow the sonographer the maximum amount of time for the performance of ultrasound exams. Duties include ultrasound secretarial, patient transportation and patient care. This position reports directly to the Radiology Director and is supervised by the sonographer on duty. The incumbent has contact with patients, hospital employees, volunteers, clinic personnel, and physicians. This position has access to sensitive, confidential information and must be able to maintain those confidences. The incumbent must be able to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision.
High school diploma or equivalent level of education preferred. Requires ability to communicate effectively orally; ability to work independently with minimal supervision; excellent handwriting and spelling skills. Also desire knowledge of medical terminology and computer skills (Paragon preferred). Certified Nursing Assistant or previous experience with direct patient care preferred. This position requires current Healthcare Provider level CPR certification upon hire or must be obtained within 6 months.
