<Fergus Falls, MN > — CARF International announced that Lake Region Healthcare (LRH) has been accredited for a period of three years for its Acute Rehabilitation program. The latest accreditation is the fourth consecutive Three-Year Accreditation that the international accrediting body, CARF, has awarded to LRH.
This accreditation decision represents the highest level of accreditation that can be awarded to an organization and shows the organization’s substantial conformance to the CARF standards. An organization receiving a Three-Year Accreditation has put itself through a rigorous peer review process. It has demonstrated to a team of surveyors during an on-site visit its commitment to offering programs and services that are measurable, accountable, and of the highest quality.
“We opened the Acute Rehabilitation Center in 2001, to offer a positive, dynamic alternative to nursing home-based rehabilitation programs or hospital-based rehabilitation that’s far away from home. The CARF surveyors specifically noted that our Acute Rehab staff is determined in its commitment to the community and promoting the best rehabilitation in the area for patients who want to get back home and back to living life as quickly as possible after a stroke, injury, surgery or other set-backs,” said Larry Schulz, LRH CEO.
