Stephanie Polzin & Tina Evenson Join Primary care team at Lake Region Healthcare

(FERGUS FALLS, Minn.) Stephanie Polzin, Certified Physician Assistant and Tina Evenson, Family Nurse Practitioner have both recently joined the Primary Care team on the Lake Region Healthcare (LRH) Medical Staff.  

Polzin joins the LRH Primary Care department in the Internal Medicine specialty. She received her MS, Physician Assistant Studies from the University of South Dakota in Vermillion, SD and completed her undergraduate studies at Anoka-Ramsey Community College and Concordia College, Moorhead. She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants.

Most recently Stephanie worked with the University of Minnesota Physicians Masonic Cancer Center in Minneapolis providing outpatient care to patients with newly diagnosed or chronic oncological and hematological malignancies.

Stephanie said she is excited about joining the family & internal medicine staff in the LRH Primary Care Department to offer quality health care and serve as an advocate of wellness for patients.

Tina Evenson, will be working primarily at Lake Region Healthcare’s Walk-In Clinic. After working as a Registered nurse for over 14 years, Evenson completed her Master’s Degree in Nursing & Science at North Dakota State University. This is where she also completed her clinical FNP practicum with emphasis in family practice, cardiology, endocrinology, obstetrics and orthopedic care.

Most recently she has worked at the Sanford Health Broadway Clinic in Alexandria and at Health Partners Urgent Care in Apple Valley and St. Paul. “My decision to enter the medical field was a natural result of my passion to improve wellness,” Evenson said. “I enjoy working with patients of all ages and genders but I do have a special interest in Women’s Health and Pediatrics,” she added. Tobacco cessation and weight loss are also quality of life topics she is particularly interested in helping people achieve.
