Minnesota Brain Injury Alliance’s Robyn Wheeler presents May 14
(FERGUS FALLS, Minn.) – Lake Region Healthcare (LRH) will host a traumatic brain injury seminar at 6 p.m. on May 14 in the hospital’s Medical Staff Meeting Room in Fergus Falls, Minn.
Robyn Wheeler of the Minnesota Brain Injury Alliance will discuss adjusting to brain injuries and support for caregivers and the formation of a local support group. The Minnesota Brain Injury Alliance, founded in 1984, is the only statewide non-profit organization dedicated to helping Minnesotans affected by brain injury.
“We are pleased to host Robyn Wheeler of the Minnesota Brain Injury Alliance,” Larry Schulz, LRH CEO, said. “Adjusting to a traumatic injury can be a stressful time for both patients and caregivers, so we want to provide as much support, tools and education as we can. Robyn is a great resource for us to help those affected in our community,” Schulz added.
The seminar is open to the public and will be beneficial for anyone living with a brain injury as well as those who are caretakers for brain injury survivors. The presentation will last approximately 90 minutes with time for questions and discussion.
