Lake Region Healthcare (LRH) is pleased to welcome Dr. Zeeshan Tariq, to our Cancer Care and Research Center as a Medical Oncologist.
Dr. Tariq received his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degree at Allama Iqbal Medical College in Lahore Pakistan. His postgraduate training has included Residencies at the King Edward Medical University in Pakistan, Mayo Hospital, Lahore, and the University of Toledo Medical Center in Toledo, Ohio. He has also completed Medical Oncology Fellowships at the University of Toledo Medical Center, at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN and at Ohio State University in Columbus, OH.
In addition to Medical Oncology, his professional experience includes General Surgery, Emergency Medicine, Diabetes & Endocrinology, and Internal Medicine.
He is a member of the American College of Physicians and the General Medical Council, UK.
Dr. Tariq enjoys both eating and cooking, especially Pakistani/Indian curries along with fine breads. He leads an itinerant lifestyle switching from the passenger seat to the pilot seat of airplanes enjoys high energy games such as cricket, video games, and basketball.
He and his wife have a 19-month old daughter that he calls “the light bulb of my life.” When asked about why he chose Lake Region Healthcare, Dr. Tariq said “In a time and space when the majority is just rushing towards a fast-paced life, I am an admirer of small town life and natural beauty.
