[March 13, 2014 - Fergus Falls, MN] Lake Region Healthcare is pleased to welcome Certified Physician Assistant, Annie Berger to our team of medical professionals. Annie joins our Family Medicine team this month working primarily at the Walk-In Clinic.
Annie graduated from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences with a Master of Physician Assistant Studies and from Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter with a Bachelor of Arts in Health Fitness.
She has worked as a Primary Care Physician Assistant at SouthEast Lancaster Health Services in Lancaster, PA since February of 2012 and is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants.
When asked why she chose to accept the offer to work at Lake Region Healthcare she said, “because I appreciated the wide variety of opportunities to practice medicine in a hometown setting. I was born in Fergus Falls and I wanted to be closer to my family, especially my dad, who is a physician in the Emergency Department at LRH.”
Annie’s professional interests include nutrition, exercise, performing procedures, hematology/oncology, and global healthcare. She is also involved in academics for Physician Assistant training programs.
Her personal interests include medical mission work (she previously lived in South Africa and routinely travels to Haiti to do clinical work), running, traveling, and spending time with her Golden Retriever named Chara.
