Celebrate Life will be Topic for December Education Series at Cancer Center

(FERGUS FALLS, Minn.) – “Celebrate Life” will be the theme of the December session in the Cancer Center Educational Series. The public is invited to attend this session on Monday, December 8th from 5 to 6:30pm at the Cancer Center Conference Room.

“For those whose lives are affected by cancer, a chronic illness, or life changing condition, the holiday season can be a time of concern, worry, and questions.  We want to encourage new and old ways to celebrate the holidays, coping and supporting those affected by these changes,” says Karen Wulfekuhle, LSW, Cancer Care and Research Center.

Bradley Skogen, M.Div, BCC will be a guest speaker for the evening.  Elizabeth Mahan, D.Min, BCC will provide information about available resources.   Guests will be introduced to the work of Deanna Thompson, PhD, cancer survivor and author of Hoping for More: Having Cancer, Talking Faith and Accepting Grace.

Participants will also be provided with a toolkit of resources for celebrating life with a chronic illness.

Join us for a time of celebration, education and refreshments at the Cancer Care & Research Center, 908 South Cascade Street S. Fergus Falls MN.

Please call 218-736-8688 for more information.  Guests are encouraged to call if they plan to attend, however it is not necessary.

Individual session topics and details for future sessions in the Education Series are available on the “Education & Events” link at www.lrhc.org.
