Red Horse Ranch Donates Tough Enough to Wear Pink Ticket Proceeds

Nearly $6,000 Raised for Cancer Center at PRCA Rodeo

[Fergus Falls], Minn. — For the 8th consecutive year, Red Horse Ranch and thousands of rodeo fans were “Tough Enough to Wear Pink” at the PRCA Rodeo’s cancer awareness & fundraising night on Saturday, August 9th.

Red Horse Ranch donated two-dollars from every ticket sold for that night to the Lake Region Healthcare (LRH) Cancer Care & Research Center and recently presented the check for $5,950 to Echo Breen, Administrative Director at the Cancer Center and Katie Johnson from the Lake Region Healthcare Foundation.

"We are so appreciative of this partnership with Wrangler and with Lake Region Healthcare. We are honored to have the opportunity to support a cancer care and research center that is both close to home and that offers exceptional care,” said Nicole Rostad, Business Manager at Red Horse Ranch.

“Cancer patients at our Center are fully aware that the extra amenities and patient comforts we offer here are above and beyond thanks to the generous support of our community, such as through Tough Enough to Wear Pink Night,” said Echo Breen, Administrative Director at the Cancer Center. “These gifts go straight towards making a difference in the lives of our cancer patients and their families,” she said.

The Lake Region Healthcare Foundation hosted several additional activities and fundraisers in conjunction with the rodeo including Underwood Lions pork chops, Tough Enough to Wear Pink Merchandise and a two-week “Flamingo Flocking” throughout the community to “Take a Stand Against Cancer”. Together with the ticket sale proceeds, these events raised a grand total of over $20,000.

The 11th Anniversary PRCA Rodeo will be held at Red Horse Ranch on August 14th & 15th, 2015.
