(FERGUS FALLS, Minn.) – The Dermatology Nursing Certification Board (DNCB) is a nationally recognized certification program incorporated with the Dermatology Nurses’ Association (DNA). Recently, Mary Bressler, FNP at Lake Region Healthcare (LRH) successfully completed the Dermatology Certified Nurse Practitioner (DCNP) exam. Certification provided an added credential beyond licensure and demonstrates by examination that the Nurse Practitioner has acquired a core body of knowledge and adheres to specialized nursing standards.
To successfully complete the DCNP exam, Bressler met the following qualifications:
- A Master’s degree in nursing
- A current Nurse Practitioner license
- National certification as a Nurse Practitioner
- A Minimum of 3,000 hours of work experience in dermatology nursing with the past 2 years
