(Fergus Falls, MN) Lake Region Healthcare (LRH) and Dave Gaustad of 20/20 Optical are pleased to announce they have reached a purchase agreement for LRH to acquire the optical shop that has operated from a leased space at LRH for nearly 2 decades.
“We’ve had a great relationship through the years and when I made the decision it was time for me to sell this business, LRH was a natural choice,” said Gaustad, owner & founder of 20/20 Optical. “They share my philosophy of exceptional quality and service and I have complete confidence that under LRH’s new ownership we will continue to improve on the great things we have built in this business through the years,” he added.
“This opportunity was a great fit for LRH as we anticipate our move into the new clinic later this year,” said LRH CEO Larry Schulz. “It will be one more way in which we can expand to improve patient access to eye care services,” he added.
The two parties are in the process of finalizing details with an effective sale date of October 1, 2015. The optical shop will remain open through the transition and will be moving to a larger space on the first level of the new LRH clinic when it opens later this year. The optical shop staff, including Gaustad, will become Lake Region employees under the new ownership.
