Public Invited to Grand Re-Opening Celebration on November 6th
(FERGUS FALLS, Minn.) – Lake Region Healthcare’s (LRH) Mehl Center will celebrate a grand re-opening on November 6th. After discontinuing its Athletic Republic franchise earlier this year, the Mehl Center never closed, but has taken several months to remodel and establish health and wellness programs for all ages rather than focusing solely on athletes.
The Health & Wellness Hub at The Mehl Center is developing into a one-stop hub for a full spectrum of health and wellness services aimed at helping people achieve and maintain their optimum health,” said LRH Wellness Coordinator, Natalie Knutson. “With a wide variety of programs for all ages and all stages, our approach is geared toward keeping people healthy and helping those who are not so healthy better manage their conditions,” she added.
Both Knutson and Karoline Gustafson, another trainer at The Hub, have recently completed the coursework to become Certified Special Populations Specialists to help people with chronic conditions choose a wellness path that works for their life.
The Grand Re-Opening celebration on November 6th will be open to the public from 11am to 1:30pm and from 4:30pm to 6:30pm. It will include tours, information on programs such as Aging Gracefully, individual fitness training, Foss Swim School® and more. Healthy refreshments, prize drawings and free gifts will also be part of the open house at The Mehl Center which is located at 619 South Cascade St. in Fergus Falls.
