Ticket Sales on August 9 to benefit Cancer Care & Research Center
(FERGUS FALLS, Minn.) – The Lake Region Healthcare (LRH) Foundation will host the PRCA Rodeo “Tough Enough to Wear Pink” night on Sat., Aug. 9 at Red Horse Ranch in Fergus Falls. Red Horse Ranch will donate $2 from every ticket sold for Aug. 9 to the LRH Cancer Care & Research Center.
“We are honored and grateful to be a part of the ‘Tough Enough to Wear Pink’ night again this year, and for the money that will be raised to benefit cancer care and research in our community,” Larry Schulz, President & CEO of LRH, said. “While we treat more than breast cancer at the Cancer Care & Research Center, we understand the impact of pink and appreciate Wrangler’s partnership with PRCA to help cancer care,” Schulz added.
The LRH Foundation will be hosting additional activities and fundraisers throughout the rodeo, including the Take A Stand Against Cancer flamingo flocking event in the Fergus Falls area July 28th through August 8th.
An LRH Foundation tent will be set up on the rodeo grounds serving Underwood Lions pork chops both nights of the rodeo.
“We will also be selling clothing and merchandise with the Take A Stand Against Cancer flamingo theme at the rodeo. Another new addition this year is the Dr. Paul Etzell Memorial Dove Release, which will be the kick-off to the rodeo on Saturday night,” Schulz said.
Doves for the release can be purchased at the hospital, Cancer Care & Research Center or by emailing Foundation@lrhc.org. The cost is $20 for a dove to be released in honor or in memory of loved ones affected by cancer.
“This is a great event for the entire family and we hope to see everyone out in their pink gear standing behind a great cause,” Schulz added.
