The Customer Service & Clinical Technician must be knowledgeable of all equipment and supplies provided. Responsible for competently and efficiently performing all tasks to the order intake process in a friendly and professional manner. Responsible for set-up, follow-up and maintenance of equipment and supplies of a clinical nature. Serves as a clinical resource to staff and referrals. This position will interact with Lake Region Healthcare staff and directly with patients requiring durable medical equipment, products and services.
To perform in this position satisfactorily a high school or equivalent education is preferred. Some post-secondary courses preferred. Medical/education preferred. General computer skills required, including working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel. Prior experience in a medical field or working with third party insurance payers. Experience in providing high quality customer service required. Must be able to understand durable medical equipment and supply requirements and products available. Knowledge of insurance rules, regulations and payer guidelines.
