The purpose of this position is to coordinate employee benefit programs, process insurance billings for the benefit programs, process benefit changes on employees having status changes. This position reports directly to the HR Operations Director. The HR Specialist has contact with current, prospective, and former employees and insurance company personnel. This position has access to confidential information and employee must be able to maintain those confidences. The HR Specialist establishes the work procedures and priorities within imposed deadlines.
HR experience required, benefit-related experience preferred. Effective interpersonal and communication skills are essential for this position. Must have excellent customer service, organizational, time management, and computer skills.
