The incumbent will be responsible for receiving and triaging patient phone calls, assessing patient condition over the phone, relaying health information, making appointments within LRH system and outside & coordination of general healthcare. Exhibits proficient and professional communication with patients, co-workers, and physicians. Performs efficiently and accurately when assessing patient condition and also when carrying out physician orders as related to patient care, including appropriate documentation. Be knowledgeable of resources available in Lake Region Healthcare and the community with regards to healthcare.
To perform in this position requires the incumbent to be a graduate of a school of nursing with current licensure in Minnesota. A minimum of one year current infusion center oncology nursing experience preferred and encouraged. Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certification required within eighteen months of completing one year of infusion center experience. OCN preferred and encouraged. This position requires current Healthcare Provider level CPR certification upon hire or must be obtained within 6 months.
