Description: 

The purpose of this position is to ensure that all functions and responsibilities of prior authorization, reimbursement, and denials and appeals are executed in a timely and accurate manner meeting all departmental and organizational requirements. The Revenue Cycle Coordinator is responsible for overseeing processes, reviews and analyzes trends and designs and implements improvements that need to be made within the department. This position assists the Revenue Cycle Director as needed, and serves as the primary back up in the absence of the Revenue Cycle Director.

Two-year degree or extensive experience in related revenue cycle functions, such as reimbursement, prior authorization, denials, and appeals. Ability to successfully lead, motivate, and coach direct and indirect staff reports. Ability to communicate effectively in oral and written forms and build strong relationships with related functions and departments. Working knowledge of related systems applications, spreadsheets and word processing software. Ability to provide outstanding customer service. Diplomacy skills to bridge complex and delicate issues and priorities across functional boundaries and with Lake Region clients, payers and outside vendors.
