Nutirtion Rep -The purpose of this position is to act as a representative of the Food Service Department through obtaining meal selections from acute care patients. Acts as a representative of the Food Service Department. The Nutritional Representative works cooperatively with food production and cafeteria staff in providing high quality meal service in a positive environment. Performs a variety of patient care services. Obtains acute care patient meal selections and provides pertinent information to the patient and food production staff. Food Service Assistant - The purpose of this position is to follow patient menus accurately on trayline, proper cleaning and sanitation of soiled dishes, pots and pans, and work area. Prepare nourishments and floor supplies and deliver to designated areas. This position reports to the Food Service Coordinator. The Food Service Assistant position has contact with hospital employees, visitors, and patients. Effective interpersonal and communication skills are a priority in this position. The incumbent has limited access to confidential information and must be able to maintain confidences. The incumbent completes the work procedures and priorities within imposed time frame.

Nutrition Rep - Minimum of high school graduate or equivalent preferred. ServSafe certification or MN Department of Health Food Manager’s certificate preferred or willingness to successfully complete ServSafe certification course. Mathematical skills required to complete clerical tasks. Ability to use a calculator. Previous experience in health care food service working with therapeutic diets is required. Must be familiar with different types of diet modifications and have the ability to apply them to individual requests. Menu processing skills. The Nutrition Representative must possess excellent interpersonal skills, independent decision making abilities, time management skills, and the ability to perform several tasks calmly and at the same time.  Food Service Assistant - High school diploma or equivalent preferred. ServSafe certification or MN Department of Health Food Manager’s certificate preferred or willingness to successfully complete ServSafe certification course. Six (6) months related experience preferred. Ability to follow oral and written instructions accurately. Ability to interact with patients, physicians, employees, and guests.
