The Lead Athletic Trainer will provide daily and ongoing leadership for all activities including athletic training. This involves short and long term planning, budgeting, programming, employee supervision, and development of sports medicine services in Fergus Falls and the surrounding communities. The Lead Athletic Trainer will provide athletic training services as assigned location(s) according to professional practice standards. The Lead Athletic Trainer will coordinate physician coverage as needed for athletic events. The person in this position will serve as the liaison between the orthopedics staff and the Lake Region Healthcare physicians and other medical specialists as needed.
Must have obtained a bachelors degree in athletic training and/or a related field. A Masters degree is preferred in a health science or related field. The person in this position does not need prior work experience in athletic training- internships and clinical experience while seeking degree is recommended. Current State licensure, BOC, and Healthcare Provider level/AED CPR certification required.
