Unit Clerk- The purpose of this position is to provide nursing care to patients through communication, secretarial duties, and transcription of orders. The Unit Clerk reports directly to the Unit Department Director, Nursing Shift Supervisor, or Charge RN. The Unit Clerk has contact with patients, patient families and visitors, hospital employees, referral agencies, volunteers, administration, and physicians. Effective interpersonal and communication skills are essential for this position. The Unit Clerk must be able to secure cooperation from others, problem-solve, exercise initiative and judgement, and have above average communication skills. CNA- The purpose of this position is to provide nursing care to patients and support services to the licensed personnel. The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) has contact with patients, patient families and visitors, LRH employees, volunteers, administration, and physicians. Effective interpersonal and communication skills are essential for this position. The CNA must be able to follow instructions of licensed personnel and work cooperatively with others, exercise initiative and judgement.
Unit Clerk- High school graduate or equivalent education preferred. Previous medical terminology/work desirable. Must have manual dexterity to perform Unit Clerk duties. CNA- Must be on the Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry, or Registry eligible. This position requires current Healthcare Provider level CPR certification upon hire or must be obtained within 6 months.
