Exhibit professional and proficient communication, with patients, co-workers, medical staff and administrative staff. Perform accurate and efficient skills when coding charges for billing. Be knowledgeable of resources available within and outside the clinic to obtain optimum accuracy for account billing.
Knowledge of medical terminology. Knowledge of coding, CPT, IDC-9, and HCPCS. Proficient and professional communication, both verbal and written. Basic math and accounting skills. High school or equivalent level of education preferred and/or one year related experience of medical coding.
