Diagnosis and procedure coding for all patient records: abstracting medical record information for hospital and clinic’s data collection system and any outside agencies as requested by Administration. Computer input of abstracted data. Help in reporting medical record data. These descriptions have excluded the marginal functions of these positions that are incidental to the performance of fundamental job duties. Employees will be required to follow other job-related instructions and to perform any other job-related duties requested by their supervisors.
To perform in this position satisfactorily requires an RHIT, RHIT eligible, or equivalent coding training and experience, ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Adequate computer/keyboarding skills a must.
