Description:
The purpose of this position is to manage the daily activities and needs of the professional services coding staff and department including issues and process flows. Keeps department policies and procedures current and implements changes as the need arises. Ensures that all functions and responsibilities of Professional Services Coding and Revenue Cycle in general are executed in a timely, accurate and customer focused manner meeting department and organizational requirements.
Associate degree and/or expertise in Coding & previous supervisory experience required. RHIT required; CCS-P and/or CPC preferred. Must have ability to successfully lead, motivate and coach direct and indirect staff reports, ability to analyze patient accounts and determine status and required actions, and ability to communicate effectively in oral and written forms and build strong relationships with related functions and departments. Working knowledge of related system applications, spreadsheets and word processing software required. Ability to provide outstanding customer service and diplomacy skills to bridge complex and delicate issues and priorities across functional boundaries and with Lake Region clients, payers, and outside vendors.
